A 3-day art event which happened April 13th to April 15th, 2012 at Pageant Gallery in Philadelphia, PA.

The artist did not leave the gallery and did not see the sun for those 3 days.

The Last Days - Performance Schedule

Day 1 – Childhood Faith
Costume: pajamas, exercise, suit, bartender

8am – wake up
8- 8.15am – costume change
8.15 – 9.15 am – exercise routine
9.15-9.45am – cleansing and change into suit costume
9.45-10am – breakfast
10am-11am – mirror meditation
11am -1:30pm – mentor work (my father)
1:30pm- 2pm – lunch
2pm- 4 pm – listening to music (Jesse Moore)/ tea time
4pm - 7.30pm – art production
7.30pm – 8pm – dinner
8pm -9pm – cleaning the bar, changing into costume for bar
9pm – 11pm – the bar Opening is open
11pm – 12am – boarding up first window
12am – 8am – sleep/ death
 
Day 2 – Adolescent Vigor
Costumes: pajamas, exercise, basketball ‘93, bartender

8am – wake up
8- 8.15am – costume change
8.15 – 9.15 am – exercise routine
9.15-9.45am – cleansing and change into basketball costume
9.45-10am – breakfast
10am-11am – mirror meditation
11am -1:30pm – mentor work (Alex Da Corte was asked...)
1:30pm- 2pm – lunch
2pm- 4 pm – listening to music (Rob Francisco) / tea time
4pm - 7.30pm – art production
7.30pm – 8pm – dinner
8pm -9pm – cleaning the bar, changing into costume for bar
9pm – 11pm – the bar Opening is open
11pm – 12am – boarding up second window
12am – 8am – sleep/ death
 

Day 3 – Adult Clarity
Costume: pajamas, exercise, version of my regular clothes, bartender

8am – wake up
8- 8.15am – costume change
8.15 – 9.15 am – exercise routine
9.15-9.45am – cleansing and change into suit costume
9.45-10am – breakfast
10am-11am – mirror meditation
11am -1:30pm – mentor work (Virgil Marti)
1:30pm- 2pm – lunch
2pm- 4 pm – listening to music(Megan Webb)/ tea time
4pm - 7.30pm – art production
7.30pm – 8pm – dinner
8pm -9pm – cleaning the bar, changing into costume for bar
9pm – 11pm – the bar Opening is open
11pm – 12am – boarding up third window
12am – 8am – sleep/ death

Mentor Work – Three people asked to come up with one intellectual, one physical, and one creative action for me to perform over the course of 2 hours. Two responded positively one responded negatively.

Music - Three people who I am close to and respect their knowledge of music were asked for 2 hours of music with written descriptions of why they think the music they chose is important or meaningful… why they think it is good. All responded positively.

Visitation – The space will be available for people to visit me. At any time. The space will be separated by a doorway… one public one private space. Certain elements of the performance will be private or of limited entry.

Opening- The bar will be open every night from 9-11pm. This will be the most public part of the performance.
